A bright light has been extinguished. Donald Arthur Nadeau “Doc” passed away September 13, 2025. He was a good neighbor, great friend and loving father. He was a member of the Bainbridge Island High School 1948 State Championship Basketball team. A Korean War Veteran he served in the Navy from 1950 – 1954. He loved flying. He moved his family from Washington to California in 1957 to seek work as an airline pilot. Instead he got a job at Hughes Aircraft Company retiring in 1988 after a 31-year career as a Program Administrator. Retired for 37 years he filled his days with flying, tennis, oil painting, leather working and many other hobbies. He was an extraordinary man who lived an extraordinary life.

Doc was pre-deceased by his brothers (Richard, Jim, Warren) and sister (Jean) and his son, Mark. He is survived by his daughter, Joni, daughter-in-law Jane and many nieces and nephews. Services held at Willamette National Cemetery on October 6, 2025.
