BI Winter Studio Tour hot place for art lovers

It was the 40th annual Winter Studio Tour on Bainbridge Island, but 48 artists at five venues Dec. 1-3 made it a hot spot for art aficionados.
The free, self-guided event offered hand-crafted art where attendees could meet the artists and buy directly from them.
Work was in all types of art mediums: metalwork, jewelry, pottery, paintings, fiber, mixed media, photography, garden art, glass and more. The artists incorporate new methods, styles and raw materials, including: recycled wool slippers, sea glass art, detailed paper cut designs, felted wearables, tall metal water fountains, Washi tape art, repurposed metal yard art and steam-bent wood.
Five studios and community halls participated, including: Elemental Furnishings’ studio, Filipino-American Hall, the Masonic Center, the American Legion Hall and the Grange Hall. Each location had five to 14 artists.
