The Bainbridge Performing Arts Theatre School is now registering for an array of winter classes for pupils of all ages.

Students (ages 4 to 7) in “Creative Drama” will explore the elements of theatre and learn to use their faces, bodies, and voices to tell a story.

Students (ages 6 to 8) will learn two song-and-dance numbers and engage in imaginative skill-building theatre games in “Introduction to Musical Theatre.”

This winter, BPA officials said they are also excited to reprise two “Bainbridge to Broadway” production classes for students ages 8 to 10 and ages 11 to 14, both led by Stephanie Reese.

In these popular classes, students will get a taste of what it’s like to perform in a Mainstage musical, culminating with the “Winter Showcase” — a historical musical revue showcasing singing and dancing skills.

Pete Benson and Amanda Yeoman Brooke will team up to lead “Teen Lab – Winter One Acts” students, ages 12 to 19, in a variety of acting methods and styles through a series of intensive exercises and improv games, culminating in a performance of two one-act comedic plays. This is an “audition in” class, officials explained. Auditions are by appointment between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.
