EC squeezes win from Spartan girls

Eastside Catholic collected a three-set win over the Bainbridge Spartans in girls varsity volleyball Monday in Paski Gymnasium.

The Spartans were edged by the Crusaders 25-17, 25-19, 25-15.

“Bainbridge fought hard and had good energy,” said Spartan Coach Dominique Atherley. “I can see we’re growing and making good progress in the second half of our season.”

Morgan Diereckx had five kills, six digs and one ace for the scrappy Spartans. Paige Bouma had 18 assists and three aces for Bainbridge.
