D’Onofrio honored for outstanding achievement

Dominique D’Onofrio of Bainbridge Island was awarded the Italian Department Prize for excellence in the study of Italian at Connecticut College.

D’Onofrio is a member of the Class of 2018 at the university. She was presented with the award at the annual Honors & Awards ceremony at Connecticut College held on May 2.

Awards were presented by Katherine Bergeron, president of Connecticut College with a keynote address from Professor of Government and International Relations John Quinjian Tian.

Founded in 1911, Connecticut College is a highly selective private liberal college located on a 750-acre arboretum campus overlooking Long Island Sound and the Thames River.
