Bainbridge In Bloom offers new guided tour bus package

As a new addition to a perennial island favorite, Bainbridge In Bloom will offer a special guided bus tour package this year, promising comfortable transit to each stop on the tour, plus lunch and more.
Offered on the first day of the two-day tour, June 3, the package includes drop-off and pickup at each garden stop aboard a comfortable, 24-seat tour bus.
The bus will depart from the Winslow ferry terminal at 9 a.m. and visit three of the five gardens in the morning. After a lunch stop at the New Rose Café at Bainbridge Gardens, the tour resumes for the final two gardens and returns to the ferry terminal at 4:25 p.m.
“The guided bus tour is a convenient way to experience Bainbridge In Bloom for those coming from Seattle, or for islanders who would rather not drive their own car to each of the five garden sites,” said Sandy Fischer, Bainbridge In Bloom Garden Tour spokeswoman. “Bus patrons will be delivered right to each garden, and won’t have to worry about parking and walking, so they’ll have more time to spend in each garden. It’s a very pleasant way to enjoy the Bloom.”
The $130 package includes single-day admission to the garden tour on June 3, bus transport to all five gardens, a boxed lunch at New Rose Café, discount coupons to Bainbridge Gardens and Bay Hay & Feed, and interpretive materials.
The Bainbridge In Bloom guided tour bus package is now available online at www.brownpapertickets.com. Purchasers will be contacted by email for their boxed lunch preference.
Only 24 seats are available, and reservations are required by May 25.
Presented by Arts & Humanities Bainbridge and now in its 29th year, the Bainbridge In Bloom Garden Tour is the Northwest’s premier annual garden event and draws visitors from around the region and the country.
The tour runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 3 and and Sunday, June 4. See www.facebook.com/bainbridgebloom for complete information.
Five beautiful private gardens will welcome visitors during the two-day tour. Garden owners and docents will greet visitors and discuss the many colorful flora and stunning garden and home designs. Live music will enhance the experience at every garden throughout the weekend. Enjoy a range of sounds throughout the tour from classical to choral, bluegrass to reggae, strings to woodwinds — all specially selected to complement the beautiful garden settings.
