Spartans score shutout against Franklin at bat

SEATTLE – The Bainbridge Spartans left the Franklin Quakers, well, quaking Friday, March 31 after scoring a 15-0 shutout at Rainier Playfield in Seattle.

The win advanced the island baseball team’s overall season record to 4-1, their only loss having come against North Kitsap earlier in the week.

The Spartans were slated to face off against Port Angeles the very next day, though that game was postponed, giving the boys from BHS the weekend off before their next outing, against Nathan Hale, earlier this week.
