Evidence is building for the existence of a giant planet at the edge of the solar system. Learn about the latest findings from astronomer Dave Fong at the planetarium show “Planet9 – Can there be a giant planet lurking around Pluto’s neighborhood?”
The show comes to the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory at Battle Point Park at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.
The show is free to members of the Battle Point Astronomical Association; a $2 donation is suggested for nonmembers, $5 for families.
There will also be a ”Remote Control Mars” BPAstro Kids Show from 5 to 7 p.m. with Dr. Erica.
If the sky is clear, astronomers will be on hand with telescopes for public star or sun gazing afterward.
The Battle Point Astronomical Association is a nonprofit amateur astronomy organization that operates the Ritchie Observatory and John H. Rudolph Planetarium in the Helix House at Battle Point Park.
