Island is defined by quality schools | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:

One of the key reasons we chose to move to Bainbridge Island from Texas in 2013 was the quality of the school system.

As empty nesters, we did not expect to use it ourselves. Instead, we believe that a high-quality school system represents a proxy for the kind of intellectual, creative, vibrant and supportive community we want to live in.

Everything we have experienced since we moved here supports that belief.

We urge you to vote “yes” on the school bond.
