Mary Poppins or Oliver?

The Studio Tour or the Working Studio Tour?

Don’t fall for the false dilemma; with proper planning, you can do it all.

The lady with the parrot head umbrella makes her BPA debut tonight. Mary Poppins‘ Pay-What-You-Can Preview begins at 7:30 p.m., but the show continues all weekend. Bainbridge Performing Arts, 200 Madison Ave. N. Friday & Saturday, 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, 3 p.m. $27; $22 senior; $19 youth/student/military/teacher. 206-842-8569, www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org/products/mary-poppins

All he wanted was ‘more soup,’ but that was too much to ask. Follow Oliver from workhouse to the seedy streets of London, where he’s recruited by a band of young pickpockets. This Ovation! musical, based on the Dickens classic, opens Friday. Bainbridge High School Theatre, 9330 NE High School Road. Friday & Saturday, 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, 3 p.m. $27, $22 senior/student/military/teacher, $19 youth ages 12 and under. www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2413933

It’s art overload at the Winter Studio Tour, with 64 local artists packed into nine different venues. The twice-annual event has been happening since 1984. Various locations. Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free. www.bistudiotour.com

The Working Studio Tour is a bit more subdued, featuring nine artists across three locations, specializing in wood sculptures, mosaics and glass. Go see the creatives in action and pick up a piece for someone special. Various locations: Mesolini Glass Studio, 13291 Madison Ave. NE; Cecil Ross Studio, 12851 Madison Ave. NE, and Raquel’s Mosiacs Studio, 9590 NE Lovgreen Road. Friday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free. www.biworkingstudios.com
