Spartans sail through Hale in boys varsity baseball

BAINBRIDGE – Paige Brigham outscored the entire Snohomish team as the senior standout netted four goals against the combined Snohomish-Glacier Peak team and the Spartans won, 17-3, in girls varsity lacrosse last week.

Brigham — who also had two assists and two ground balls in last week’s matchup — was one of seven Spartans to score in the lopsided battle.

Robin Hilderman also outpointed Snohomish and finished with four goals, a ground ball and four draw controls.

Fellow Spartans Sonia Olson, Mackenzie Chapman and Amy Willeford added two goals each, and Ellen Carpenter and Krya Wortley both rifled in a score for BHS.

The big win was Bainbridge’s fifth double-digit victory in a row, and followed their triumphs over Stadium (20-4), Garfield (20-3), Holy Names (19-5) and the SW Titans (19-2).
