Harriet Muhrlein of Kingston won first place in the Bainbridge Island Photo Club’s annual exhibit during the Grand Old Fourth of July on Bainbridge Island.

Club members displayed 147 photos in the Commons at Waterfront Park, and visitors to the exhibit cast more than 650 ballots for their favorite photos during the event.

Muhrlein’s winning photo, “Punts,” depicted rowing skiffs moored along the shore in Cambridge, England.

Hal Muhrlein of Kingston received a second-place award for “Around and Around,” a view of a spiral staircase looking up.

Pat Egaas of Bainbridge Island won third place for “Ring of Light,” a photograph of a sunlit tree reflected in a pond at Bloedel Reserve.

This year’s exhibit chair, Suelyn Wong of Bainbridge Island, announced the highest scoring photos.

The Bainbridge Island Photo Club offers photographers a program of competitions, educational presentations, exhibits, web galleries and field trips.

Meetings are scheduled throughout the year at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesdays of each month; visitors and interested photographers are welcome.
