Robert C. Dir, age 64
Robert C. Dir, died May 31 in Poulsbo, WA. He was born on December 25, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA.
Robert was a resident of Bainbridge Island and had previously lived in Shoreline, WA. He graduated from Chico State College and retired from the Housing Authority. He was currently employed part-time at Home Depot in Poulsbo, WA. Robert was a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran. He was always ready to help on any “special projects” dreamed up by his family, especially if he could use his truck to help haul stuff! He enjoyed family dinners, usually followed by the challenging board game of “Settlers of Catan”. Robert especially enjoyed meeting with his brother, Dale, for their weekly “coffee and conversation”.
He is survived by his brother Dale Dir (Billie) of Bainbridge Island, brother William Dir (Jennifer) of Clarkston, WA, sister-in-law Jean Dir and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Marjorie Dir and his brothers Jay and Douglas Dir.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service June 22 at 12:30 PM at Island Church, 9624 Sportsman Club Road on Bainbridge Island.
