Bullying expert to give presentation at the Commons

Mike Donlin will speak on “Bullying & Your Child” at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 9 at the Commons.
Whether your child is bullied or a bully or a bystander, he or she needs help to create healthier interactions with others. This free presentation will deal particularly with bullying that occurs off-campus.
Donlin is currently the program supervisor of the Safety Center, Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction in Olympia.
He has decades of pertinent experience as an educator and implementer of bullying prevention and intervention programs in the Seattle schools, and is a noted expert referenced in “Cyberbullying Prevention and Response: Expert Perspectives compiled” by Justin W. Patchin and Sameer Hinduja.
Donlin was selected by Seattle Magazine in 2010 as one of Seattle’s Most Influential People. In 2008, he received the Qwest/NCMEC Spirit of Online Safety Leadership Award, holding special expertise in internet safety and cyberbullying.
Donlin’s presentation for parents will be followed by a question-and-answer session and is sponsored by the Housing Resources Board.
