Geraldine Ann Hankin

Geraldine Ann Hankin died May 16 at her home in Poulsbo.

She was born on January 15, 1942, in Potlatch, Ida. She was 68.

Gerrie and her husband Sheldon lived in Poulsbo for 28 years. From 1982-1994 Gerrie was the owner and operator of Poulsbo’s Viking Kennels. She was the Deputy Instructor of The Grand Chapter of Washington, Order of The Eastern Star, and she was Worthy Matron, Priscilla Chapter No. 96, Order of the Eastern Star – Port Gamble.

She attended Washington State University and Eastern Washington University.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Gladys Thompson.

Gerrie is survived by her husband Sheldon Hankin of Poulsbo; son Ron Duran Jr. Jackson (Laurie); son Mark Hankin (Denice Kerr); son Miles Hankin; brother Marvin Thompson (Diane); and grandsons Sam and Wade Hankin.

Family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of life service on 1 p.m. May 22 at the Franklin Masonic Temple, 5 Rainier Avenue, Port Gamble, WA 98364. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association.
