James D. Tiffany

James died April 18 in his home in Wenatchee.

He was born on March 3, 1927 to Eva and Harry Tiffany and was a lifelong resident of Bainbridge Island.

James enlisted in the United States Navy in 1946 and later attended the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard’s apprentice school becoming a machinist.

He retired from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1982 after 30 years of being a planning and estimate supervisor and reparing battleships and later submarines.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son David in 1997.

Jim is survived by his wife Lois and two children, Ron of Orville and daughter Joanne of Leavenworth; sister Nancy and niece Dredrea Widen, both of Bainbridge Island; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. May 3 at the United Methodist Church in Leavenworth.
