Annabelle Moser, of Port Orchard and formerly of Bainbridge Island, died on May 29 surrounded by her family. She was 78.

She was born Annabelle McGarry on June 23, 1930 in Mill Township, Ohio. She married the love of her life, William “Bill” Moser in Cortland, Ohio in 1948. He joined the U.S. Navy and was eventually stationed at Fort Ward on Bainbridge Island. They like it so much they decided to move the family there in 1955 and lived here for almost 50 years before moving to Port Orchard in 2002 to be closer to their daughter.

She worked for Fireman’s Fund Insurance for 34 years as a claims supervisor. She was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; beloved granddaughter Annabelle; and brother James. She is survived by daughters Denise (Frank) Raught and Billie Suzanne Moser; grandchildren Dawn (Phil) and Bill Pickett; and great-grandchildren Mark and Casey Baker and Alyssa, Lily and Corey Pickett.

Remembrances may be sent to South Kitsap Fire & Rescue, 1974 Fircrest Dr, Port Orchard, WA 98366, to whom the family will always be grateful and appreciative for the many times they came to help their mother and father. An online memorial is at www.rill.com.
