Ardath Lorenson

Ardath Lorenson, formerly of Bainbridge Island, died on Sept. 25. She was 69.
She was born on June 8, 1939 in Seattle. She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1957 and the University of Washington in 1961 with a degree from the School of Communications.
She was a gifted writer and communicator, and an information gatherer who enjoyed school, books, studying, and learning. She loved the salt air, seashore, seasons, flowers, beauty, family, friends, neighbors, music, reading, cats, the Huskies, her dad and mom, drama, sports, Tiger and golf, writing, talking, quiet games, parties, and her birthday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Garnet Sutherland. She is survived by her husband and soul mate, Tom Lorenson; sister Kathy Beck, daughter Shelly Suthwick; son Michael Sarin; grandchildren Heather, Tony, Nicholas and Julian; and great-grandchildren Layne and Layla.
At her request, there will be no service or funeral. Rememberances can be made to the Whidbey animal Improvement Foundation.
