Kenneth Edward Godwin, age 83, died March 6 at Normandy Park, Wash.
He was born March 14, 1922 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, after which he graduated from McGill University with a master’s degree in civil engineering.
He moved to Bainbridge Island in 1965 and worked for Chevron in Seattle for many years.
He was a leader in the local Boy Scouts and an avid hang glider pilot.
He is survived by his wife Jeannine; son Glen and daughter-in-law Kerri; and grandsons James and Matthew.
