Jerome Lyle ‘Jerry’ Anderson

Jerome Lyle “Jerry” Anderson, 72, died Jan. 6 at his Bainbridge Island home.

He was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Seattle, and grew up in Snoqualmie and North Bend. He graduated from Whitman College in 1955 and later studied at the University of Washington.

He had a successful career at the accounting firm Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte and Touche).

He joined the firm in Seattle in 1958, and held executive positions in Tokyo, Portland, Los Angeles and San Francisco. He became the vice-chairman before retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Barbara, and his five children: Paul (wife Lisa and son Daniel), Mark (wife Eve and daughters Sophie and Phoebe), Boyd, Christine and Lisa.

A celebration of life was held Jan. 10. Memorial donations may be sent to Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center.
