Alta Elaine Haman, 70, died June 30 at her home in Kingston.
She was born Feb. 26, 1935 in Denver, Colo., to William Ivan Shipley and Frances Elizabeth (Harn) Shipley.
She lived in Poulsbo before moving to Kingston, where she lived for 35 years.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
She is survived by her partner of 35 years, Ron George of Suquamish; children, Douglas Alan (Phyllis) Hagen of Suquamish, Karla K. (Michael) Nolen of Poulsbo and Lore Lee Hagen of Suquamish; mother, Frances Shipley of Poulsbo; brother, Terry Shipley of Suquamish; grandchildren, Osha Marie, Joshua Ivan and Breanna Leigh Hagen, as well as Nichol Jenny Olson, Nathan Joe Jennings Kvinsland, Bobbie J. Nolen, Joshuan Travis and Jeremy Thomas Vaughan; great-grandchildren, Kallana, Eric, Nassyaha and Dayton Dahl, as well as Brennon Hagen, Pheonix Deven Olson, Kyler Jay Johnson and Sephiroth Alexander Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. July 10 at the Suquamish Tribal Center.
