Bobbye Prichard

Former Bainbridge Island resident Bobbye Prichard, 73, of Port Orchard, died of cancer Dec. 17 at Ridgemont Terrace care center.

She was born Dec. 16, 1931, in Sterling, Colo., to LeRoy and Esther (Saylors) Mills, and grew up in Greeley, Colo.

On June 29, 1948, she married William E. Prichard in Greeley.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them arts and crafts and painting. She was also a “serious rock hound” and jewelry maker.

She and her family lived on Bainbridge Island from 1955-1981.

She is survived by her husband; son Doug (Becky) Prichard of Port Orchard; daughters Jackie Armstrong of Puyallup and Robin (Jimmy) Neville of Port Orchard; sister LaVonne Stansbury of Cheyenne, Wyo.; grandchildren Coliene, Taylor and Sam Prichard, and J.J. and Daisha Neville, all of Port Orchard, and Scott and David Wilbur of Puyallup; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son Lee Prichard in 1964.

A family gathering was held.
