Elsie Margaret Ring Gibson

Elsie Margaret Ring Gibson, age 96, died Dec. 16 at the Hearthstone in Seattle.
She was born March 10, 1908, in Seattle, to Ole Ring and Jensine (Thorson) Ring.
After graduation from Queen Anne High School in 1926, she worked as a secretary for many years.
Although she was a lifelong resident of Seattle, she enjoyed Bainbridge Island and maintained a summer home near Pleasant Beach. She was a member of Magnolia Lutheran Church for 60 years, the Order of Eastern Star and the Mountaineers for so long that her REI membership number was in the low double-digits.
She is survived by son James Gibson and his wife Elke, Seattle, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin, and granddaughter, Sonja Gibson.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at Kane Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kass Funeral Home, Bainbridge Island.
