Following graduation from secretarial school, she married Leon C. Hartstone, also of Boston (Harvard Class of 1941) and worked at Hingham Shipyard while Lee served in India during World War II. After the war, they settled in Brookline, Mass.

In 1964, the family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked for her husband in the record business.

In 1970, they moved to Los Angeles to start a new business venture, Integrity Entertainment, and continued working together until Lee’s death in 1982.
