Eileen V. Clancy

Longtime islander Eileen V. Clancy, age 95, died June 16 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.

She was born Feb. 10, 1907 in England, where she spent the first part of her life. There she survived the bombing of London during World War II.

She later moved to South Africa with her husband Frank E. Watson.

Years later, after the death of her husband, she moved to the Bainbridge Island to be close to family.

She lived on Bainbridge for 25 years, earning her U.S. citizenship in 1982.

She is survived by three sons: Keith Watson of South Africa, Frank Watson of Ontario, Canada and Grahame Watson of Plain, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 2 p.m. June 19 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton.
