Two wins finish regular LAX season for BHS boys

BAINBRIDGE – A 13-6 win at home in a nonleague match against Juanita Saturday, May 6 brought the Bainbridge High varsity boys lacrosse team’s regular season to a climactic close.

The Spartan scoring effort was led by perpetual points-leader Merrit McMahon, who finished the night with five goals scored.

Max Oden and Ian Morosoff both put up two, and Gavin Jakubik, Max McLeod, Ethan Peloquin and Porter Avery each managed one.

BHS utilized three goalies against Juanita. Dawson Friers had three saves, as did Carson McCarrel. Charlie Shrout managed a dozen saves throughout his 24 minutes in the goal.

It was the team’s second consecutive win at the tail end of the year, following a savage 9-8 OT win on the road against Seattle Prep Thursday, May 4.

Goals were scored by Max Oden (three), Avery Porter (two), Carson Byran (one), Merrit McMahon (one), Randy Shrout (one) and Carl Swan (one).

Bainbridge ends the season with a 6-4 record (11-9 overall).
