Three cancelations pause Spartan season

SEATTLE – A trio of postponed and rescheduled games put a sudden stop to the Spartan varsity baseball team recently.

First, A road game against Nathan Hale on April 11 was postponed. A new date has yet to be announced.

Then, an away game against Ingraham was rained out on April 13.

Finally, on April 16, an away game against Rainier Beach was likewise called on account of rain.

The required schedule reshuffling has left some uncertainties in the Spartan season timeline.

“We have eight games yet to complete to round out this year’s Metro regular season,” Spartan Co-Head Coach Bill Ackerley said earlier this week. “We were originally scheduled to be done by Wednesday, April 25, with Metro playoffs starting Saturday [April 28].”
