This week in Spartan sports

The Bainbridge High varsity volleyball teams visit Kingston Monday to tip off this week in Spartan sports.

First up is the BHS volleyball C-Team, and the girls will take the court for the non-conference meeting at 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at Kingston High School.

The junior varsity team plays at 5 p.m., with the varsity matchup between the Spartans and the Buccaneers following at 6:15 p.m.

Also Monday, the Spartans JV football team will play Olympic in a home game at Bainbridge’s Memorial Stadium at 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the boys varsity and girls varsity golf teams will welcome Eastside Catholic to the links at Wing Point Golf & Country Club. Tee time is 3:30 p.m.

The Bainbridge girls varsity soccer team will host Bishop Blanchet at home on Tuesday, as well. The match is 7 p.m.

It will be a bigger night for soccer than previously planned at the BHS stadium, with the girls JV game that was originally scheduled to be played away at Blanchet being hosted on Bainbridge instead. Game time for the JV matchup remains at 5:15 p.m.

The girls C-Team will play on the road against Seattle Academy in a match planned for 3:30 p.m. at Delridge Playfield in Seattle.

Also in the mix for Tuesday is a boys varsity water polo game, between Bainbridge and Peninsula, at Peninsula High in Gig Harbor. Game time is 5:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Sept. 13, the girls volleyball teams will catch the boat for a conference matchup against West Seattle on the road.

Both the C-Team and JV games are at 4:30 p.m., followed by the varsity match at 6 p.m.

The Spartan girls varsity golf team plays host to Nathan Hale, in a meeting at Jefferson Park Golf Course in Seattle. Tee time is 3:30 p.m.

The BHS boys varsity water polo team will plunge into the welcoming waters of the Bainbridge Aquatic Center for a home game against Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.

On Thursday, Sept. 14, the spotlight shines solely on the Spartan soccer girls. The varsity team faces off against rival Seattle Prep in a road game at 3:30 p.m. at Woodland Park in Seattle, while the JV team plays at hoe (6 p.m. start).

On Friday, Sept. 15, all three volleyball teams will play at home against Ballard.

The JV and C-Teams will get things started at 4:30 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6 p.m. in Paski Gymnasium.

The boys varsity football team returns home to face King’s Way Christian. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Also Friday, Spartan girls soccer C-team travels to Seattle for a matchup against Roosevelt at Magnuson Field (Field No. 7). Game time is 4 p.m.

Closing out this week in Spartan sports on Saturday, Sept. 16, the Spartans head to Kitsap Pavilion in Silverdale for the annual Kitsap Classic Volleyball Tournament. The tourney starts at 9 a.m.

Here on the Rock, the Spartans will play North Kitsap in girls soccer.

The JV game is at 11 a.m. at BHS Memorial Stadium, followed by the varsity matchup at 1 p.m.
