Spartans win twice in tennis

BAINBRIDGE – The Spartans picked up back-to-back wins in both boys and girls tennis this week in Metro League meetings with Eastside Catholic and Ingraham.

Earlier this week, against the EC Crusaders in Sammamish, the Spartans won 5-0 in girls tennis, while the BHS boys team prevailed 4-1.

History repeated itself on the courts at Bainbridge High Tuesday as the Spartans hosted Ingraham. The BHS girls team again swept the competition, 5-0, as the Bainbridge boys bested Ingraham 4-1.

“That’s two solid wins in a row after Monday’s win over Eastside Catholic,” noted Head Varsity Tennis Coach Jennifer Anne Shorr.

The Spartans were scheduled to play their final home match on Thursday afternoon before moving forward into the postseason.
