Spartans win nail-biter against No. 1 Oregon team

LAKE OSWEGO, Oregon – The Bainbridge Spartans won the battle for Pacific Northwest Girls lacrosse bragging rights as BHS prevailed in a tight 13-12 game against Lake Oswego High, Oregon’s No. 1 seed, last Saturday.

The road trip to Lake Oswego was well-timed for the Spartans. The tough competition has prepared the team for the upcoming games and into the state playoffs. Regular season play finished up this week with Issaquah, followed by an away game at Garfield.

The Spartans are in a good position to host their first playoff game on Monday, May 7 at BHS Stadium. If all goes well, they will also host their second playoff game on Thursday, May 10.

The state tournament semifinals and finals will be played at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila on May 15 and May 18, respectively.
