Spartans survive Brave bout

SEATTLE – Bainbridge battled Bishop Blanchet to a 1-1 tie in girls varsity soccer Monday on the road.

Sofia Trail scored the Spartans’ sole goal on a header; the assist came via a cross from Svetlana Maguire.

Spartan Coach Scott Druker said the team played a complete game, with good ball movement and more threatening plays to score.

Bainbridge’s record stands at Bainbridge 3-6-1 (0-5-1 in Metro).

The Spartans were scheduled to return to Bainbridge to play against Seattle Prep (3-2-1, 6-2-1) at home on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
