Spartans stingy on defense, not on offense

SEATTLE – Three.

That number pretty much sums up the shellacking Bainbridge hoisted upon Ingraham last week in girls varsity lacrosse.

The Spartans battered the Rams 19-1 to pick up their fourth straight win of the season late last week.

The Rams were only able to muster three shots on the Bainbridge goal during 50 minutes at Magnuson Park Field, while the Spartans found offense from nine different players.

Mackenzie Chapman again led all scorers, and finished the contest with four goals and two assists (plus five draws and one caused turnover).

Two Spartans finished with hat tricks; Eleanor Collins and Kendall Havill scored three goals each.

Three BHS players got two goals apiece: Eleanor King, Abby Reibsamen and Maggie Sweeney.

Eva Genkinger, Bella Jackson and Madeleine Sherry rounded out the Spartan scoring with a goal each.

Unselfish, the Spartans were, on the offensive end. The team totaled 10 assists, led by Sweeney with three. King added two.
