Spartans speed through sole home XC meet to dual first-place finish | Photo gallery

The sole home meet of the year for the Bainbridge High School varsity cross country team was a stellar showing all around, with both the boys and girls squads taking first place against runners from North Kitsap, Klahowya, West Seattle, Bremerton and Eastside Catholic Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Battle Point Park.

The Bainbridge boys finished with an overall score of 27. North Kitsap took second place (38); Klahowya, third (56); West Seattle, fourth (138); Bremerton, fifth (140); and Eastside Catholic, sixth (159).

On the girls’ side, Bainbridge finished first with an overall score of 46. Eastside Catholic took second (48); West Seattle, third (83); Klahowya, fourth (84); and North Kitsap, fifth (86).
