Spartans shut down by Wildcats 67-40 in boys basketball

SEATTLE – The Spartans sailed home with their 10th loss of the year in boys basketball Tuesday having been bested 67-40 by the West Seattle Wildcats.

The loss left the Bainbridge High varsity boys basketball team with an overall season record of 3-10 (1-7 in conference), and ranked in 11th place in the Metro standings.

Garfield boasts the top spot with a flawless conference record of 9-0. Nathan Hale is nipping their heels at 8-0.

Only Bishop Blanchet trails the Spartans with a conference record of 1-8 (4-10 overall).

The BHS squad will play one more road game — Friday, Jan. 13 against Roosevelt — before settling in for a four-game run at home starting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 against Rainier Beach.
