Spartans pound Prep in volleyball

SEATTLE – Bainbridge stopped Seattle Prep 3-1 in girls varsity volleyball Monday.

The Spartans picked up their second Metro win with scores of 25-18, 25-21, 18-25 and 25-15.

The Spartans looked confident and strong going into the first two sets, said Bainbridge Coach Dominique Atherley.

“Seattle Prep got their offense going in the third set and the Spartans looked tired. Bainbridge found their rhythm again in the fourth set and finished with high energy,” Atherley added.

Olivia Marshall led the Spartans with six aces and 36 digs, while Erica Sprott added three kills and 36 assists.

The victory improved the Spartans’ record to 2-3 in conference play (7-3 overall).
