Spartans on the podium after stellar Shoreline Invite

SEATTLE – Of the 20 members of the Bainbridge High School track & field team that trekked to Seattle for the Shoreline Invitational Saturday, April 28, several snagged spots on the podium.

The top Spartan showings included: Emma Chee took third place overall in the pole vault event; Carlo Ruggiero took fourth in the 800-meters; Emma Brundige claimed the fifth-place spot in the long jump event and eighth in the 400-meters; Joey Tabisola staked claim to the sixth-place spot in javelin; and the relay team of Evan Kimmerlein, Carter Hall, Kyle Hammer and Carlo Ruggiero finished fourth in the 4×400.

“Great job to all who participated in the Shoreline Invite,” said BHS Head Coach Andy Grimm. “Over 45 schools competed from all classifications.”
