Spartan sluggers fall in first round of State tourney

PASCO – The Bainbridge High varsity baseball team’s shot at the state title was cut short Saturday, May 19 in a first-game loss to Kennewick at Pasco High School.

The Spartans fell 6-0 in a shutout defeat in Game 8 of the 2018 WIAA 3A State Baseball Tournament, a loser-out affair.

Kennwick went on to lose 8-3 to Southridge in Game 12 later that day.

The 2018 WIAA 3A State Baseball Tournament championship game (Game 16) begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at Gesa Stadium in Pasco.
