Spartan sluggers break even in postseason outings

SEATTLE – The second and third outing of the Bainbridge High School varsity baseball team’s postseason were a mixed bag. Following a win in their first non-regular season appearance against Nathan Hale on April 30, the Spartans claimed a 12-3 win against Lakeside on May 2, and then suffered a 3-2 loss to Eastside Catholic on May 4.

The island squad next played Bishop Blanchet on Monday, May 7, at Steve Cox Memorial Park.

The 3A State Baseball Championship is slated to begin on Saturday, May 19 on Gesa Stadium in Pasco.
