This week’s Spartan of the Week is Carter Hall of the Bainbridge High Cross Country team.

Head Coach Anne Howard-Lindquist says: “Carter has consistently challenged himself to train and compete to his best ability, with a critical eye towards consistent improvement ever since joining the BHS Cross Country team as a freshman. Now as a senior captain, he’s a thoughtful, organized leader of the Honey Badger XC color team, with a wicked sense of humor. From what his teammates and coaches experience, he’s also generous with his time, thoughtful and honest in his advice.

“Much of Carter’s strength lies in his ability to effectively deal with frustrations and setbacks including injuries. Carter has figured out various strategies to pursue fast results and build strong teams with BIXC, as well as with BHS swim & dive and track teams. Driven by a strong internal motivation, Carter has in his nine seasons of WIAA sports participation, competed at six Washington State Championships (and achieved several top-10 and podium results).”
