Spartans fall in first round

SEATTLE – Bainbridge stumbled against Holy Names Academy 4-0 in girls varsity soccer in the first round of the 2017 3A Metro Girls Soccer Tournament Monday in Seattle’s Memorial Stadium.

The contest was a loser-out battle, and the Spartans end their season much improved over last year with a 0-9-1 league record (3-12-1 overall).

It was a daunting matchup from start to finish, as the Cougars have had the Spartans’ number all season, delivering two shutout losses in a late September contest on Bainbridge and another one for the season finale in Seattle last week.
