A bitter battle against Roosevelt High ended the Spartan run in the 3A SeaKing District Tournament Saturday, Feb. 16 when the Bainbridge High School varsity girls basketball team was bested 57-43.

The island squad began the tourney on better terms: a sweetheart 41-39 win against Ballard on Feb. 14.

They were then beaten by Seattle Prep 57-25 the very next day, before moving on to face Roosevelt.
