Lions win in a wet one

BAINBRIDGE – Lakeside slipped away with a 3-0 win over Bainbridge Tuesday in girls varsity soccer.

The Spartans continued to struggle offensively in a miserably wet night against their Metro League opponents. Bainbridge has been held scoreless in its last three contests.

That said, it’s been a tough stretch for Bainbridge as those last three games have been against the Metro Mountain Division’s top three teams (Bishop Blanchet, Lakeside and Seattle Prep).

The defeat against the Lions extended Bainbridge’s current losing streak to four games, after the Spartans opened the season with back-to-back wins over Nathan Hale and Central Kitsap.
