Lakeside nips Spartans at home

The Bainbridge Spartans volleyball team hosted Lakeside late last week for the team’s Dig Pink Night.

It was an evenly matched game, though Lakeside eked out the victory in four sets with scores of 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21.

“Bainbridge has shown improvement over the last three matches, taking sets off Seattle Prep, Bishop Blanchet and now Lakeside,” said Spartan Coach Dominique Atherley. “The Spartans feel proud of their performance and will keep working hard so that they are ready to peak at the upcoming Metro League Tournament.”

Allie Wildsmith finished with nine kills, seven blocks, and five digs for Bainbridge.

Paige Bouma contributed 16 assists, 11 digs, two kills, two blocks, and one ace, while Ava Targett added seven kills and four blocks.

Lauren De Gall had 24 digs and one kill for Bainbridge.

The Spartans’ next home game is Senior Night on Oct. 29 versus Seattle Prep.
