The Bainbridge High School football squad returned to the gridiron recently for the start of official practice sessions.

The island squad’s first game, for bragging rights and the treasured Agate Cup, is a non-league contest against rivals North Kitsap High School, set to be played at home at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6.

Review reporter Luciano Marano paid a visit to practice earlier this week to chat with BHS Head Coach Jeff Rouser and catch a peek at how the players were shaping up. His favorite shots are collected here.

And check out the latest issue of the Review for the most in-depth Spartan sports coverage around, including interviews with players and coaches and complete program schedules for the imminent fall season.
