Island sluggers score initial postseason win

SEATTLE – The initial outing of the postseason saw the Bainbridge High varsity baseball team shut out the Nathan Hale Raiders 5-0 at Seattle’s Southwest Athletic Complex Monday, April 30.

The Spartans would next play Lakeside on Wednesday, in the same location.

The 3A KingCo Tournament, at Bannerwood Park, runs through Saturday, May 12, with the 3A state tournament slated to begin Saturday, May 19 in Pasco.
