Flawless Spartans sink Stadium in boys water polo win

BAINBRIDGE – Another lopsided victory Monday nudged the Bainbridge High varsity boys water polo team’s record up to 7-0 following a 23-5 win against Stadium High at the Bainbridge Aquatic Center.

Sam Kapel — perennial points machine, Spartan senior and team cocaptain — led the island squad’s scoring efforts again against the visitors, ending the night with eight goals to his name.

Freshman Gabe Nathan managed four goals, and junior Sam Chapman put up three.

Sophomore Spartan Ian O’Hartigan chipped in two goals, and Clay Jablonski, Marshall Whittlesey, Thomas Defawe, Nathaniel Lapin, Sky Baird and Daniel DeFoe each scored one apiece.
