First loss chinks Spartan boys’ LAX armor

The Bainbridge High School varsity boys lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season Saturday, March 30 against the visitors from Nanaimo, British Columbia, at Mercer Island High.

The final score was 10-7, and the loss left the island squad with an overall season record of 6-1.

It was the fourth in a series of nine non-league matches; a roster of opponents which includes teams from Oregon and Nevada and sees the Spartans primarily on the road returning home for their next conference matchup at 7 p.m. Friday, April 19 against Roosevelt.

They will first make a non-league appearance at home at 7 p.m. Friday, April 12 against Curtis.
