EC stays perfect in volleyball

SAMMAMISH – Eastside Catholic remained unbeaten in girls varsity volleyball after handing Bainbridge its first loss of the season in a Metro League matchup Monday.

The Spartans fell 3-0 on the tough road trip, with scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-23.

Angela Shakirova had 10 kills and one ace for Bainbridge. Erica Sprott had two aces and 24 assists for BHS.

The Crusaders marched to 1-0 in Metro with the win (4-0 overall), while Bainbridge dropped to 0-1 (4-1 overall).
