As it has for more than 40 years, the final Sunday of February arrived on schedule meaning just one thing to anybody on the roads of Bainbridge Island: It was Chilly Hilly time.

The annual 33-mile bicycle event celebrated it’s 47th year in 2019, again kicking off the Cascade Bicycle Club’s riding season here in the Northwest.

It has proven a popular Bainbridge attraction, typically drawing riders from far and wide to participate, including some from Alaska, Iowa, Nevada and New York.

The Review’s Luciano Marano hit the streets of downtown Winslow with his camera to capture the first wave of riders. His favorite shots are collected here.
