The Spartan girls won and then the Bainbridge boys lost in a special Saturday doubleheader basketball showdown when the Bainbridge High varsity teams traveled to Seattle to play the Rainier Beach Vikings on Jan. 5.

First, the girls scored a 58-50 win.

Then, the boys were bested 82-37.

Both teams subsequently stayed on the road to play Garfield early the next week, and then returned home to host Ballard on Friday, Jan. 11.
